About Dawn

Hello and thanks for stopping by! 
I’m Dawn Minder, owner and photographer at Reminder Photography.  My interest in taking pictures began around age 5 when I became fascinated with my Grandpa’s Polaroid.   Then, around age 10, I got my Mom’s old Kodak Ektralite because she upgraded to a 35 mm, then eventually, I got my own 35 mm as a teenager.  I took pictures of just about anything….. friends, family, the animals on our farm, and nature pictures for 4-H projects. 

Once I had children of my own, my interest in photography was reignited.  After taking photography courses and purchasing a Canon 6D, my interest evolved into a passion for capturing special moments -- not only for my own family, but for others too.  When I wasn't photographing my own children, I began taking photographs of my nieces and nephews, and then my friends' kids, and things evolved from there. 

I am so grateful to the families I’ve had the opportunity to work with during the past 4 years and am excited for those I have yet to meet!
